How We Keep Facilities Open While We Work
challenge
A local fire station had two shower rooms leaking into the walls, creating ongoing water damage risk and potential for mold. They needed the showers properly rebuilt and waterproofed but couldn’t take both offline at the same time without disrupting crews and station operations.
what we did
Reliable Flooring Group fully demoed and rebuilt the showers one at a time, installing a correct mud bed, waterproofing system, and new tile in the first shower while keeping the second open for staff. Once the first shower was complete and back in service, we repeated the process in the second shower, coordinating work around shift schedules.
outcome
Both showers were rebuilt correctly and waterproofed, stopping the leaks and protecting the walls, while the station remained fully operational and crews always had access to a working restroom and shower. No shutdowns, no loss of service.
